| Alex During Her Pregnancy |
A few action shots of Alex with 3 weeks left to go before the puppies are due!

Alex
getting ready to roll in the snow - this seems to be what she likes to
do most, especially when she is pregnant! I guess that cold snow feels
pretty good against her stretching stomach. You can see in this
picture that she is starting to "show"! We are getting so excited
about this upcoming litter - only about 3 more weeks to go!!!!!!!!!!

2 Weeks to go......
Alex sacked out in the livingroom. The wait is on!

1 Week to go........
Alex - January 22, 2005 - only 9 days and counting!!!
Alex doesn't venture far from my side these days.
She is always laying right beside me wherever I am!
She even lays right in the
middle of the kitchen floor when I am making meals. I have almost
tripped over her a couple of times now!!

| Puppies That Have Been Chosen! |
Well, the choosing
has started! The puppies are being chosen in order of who
contacted me first initialy. So far, we have 6 male puppies
chosen leaving just the girls to choose from now. I am changing
out the ribbon for collars as they are chosen. Since I am keeping
one of the females out of this litter, I am trying to hold off the
choosing of the girls until I have decided which one I want to keep -
tough choice - they are all so sweet and they each have their own
look. I am leaning toward the light purple - she has wormed her
way into my heart and follows me all over the room when I am down
there. She is always trying to get my attention! I think
she looks very much like her dad too! Well we have 2 families
coming this weekend so I better hurry up and make up my mind!
White also has a special place in my heart because of what we went
through to get her here and she will always be a special little girl in
my books!
Below I will add a photo of the puppy that has been chosen and the name and location of where the puppy will be going to live.
1st Choice Male:
Orange
(now Green Plaid)- Fonzi will be going to live in Yellowknife with the Vivian
Family! Fonzi will be filling a great void in the Vivian family
after losing their puppy (Gibson) from our last year's litter to a
helicopter crash back in September. You can see photos of Gibson
on our "Dogs We Have Loved and Lost" page. Gibson was the 8th
puppy born in our last year's litter and wore the orange ribbon.
Fonzi too was the 8th puppy born in this litter, has the orange ribbon
and was only 4 oz. heavier than Gibson at birth. I think that
this puppy is the perfect choice for the Vivians and was just meant to
be the one for them! Congratulations Gary, Jean and family!
2nd Choice Male:
Light Blue (now Blue Plaid)
- Scout will be going to live with the Doucette family of London,
Ontario. With another dog (Chocolat - dachsund), a cat (Carmel)
and two children, I am sure that Scout will have a great home and be
very loved! Congratulations Janice, Bruce and family!
3rd Choice Male:
Red (now Red and Silver collar) - Rocky will be going to live with Linda Rogers of Amityville,
New York! Sounds like Rocky will have to get used to road trips
as Linda is an avid traveller and loves to take road trips often -
obviously, since she is coming up to pick Rocky up the first weekend in
April! Congratulations Linda, I think that Rocky is the perfect
choice for you!
4th Choice Male:
Teal (now Green and Silver
collar) - Jasper will be going to live with the MacPherson's of Guelph,
Ontario. Jasper will be a "little brother" to Bailey who is a
puppy from our very first litter! Bailey will turn 4 on March 24,
2005 so I am sure that she will show Jasper the ropes.
Congratulations Lori and Tim, Jasper has found a great home!
5th Choice Male:
Navy (now Navy
collar) - Sooner has been chosen to go and live in the Beaches area of
Toronto. He too has found a great home and will be living with
Brian and Mary - Brian being a photographer, I am looking forward to
some great photos over the years!
6th Choice Male:
Royal Blue on the right
Royal Blue (now Royal Blue and Silver
collar) - Jake also has found an amazing home will be going to live with
the McNabb's and their other dog Whiskey here in Southampton. They have
been absolutely great and have been able to come and visit the puppies
on a weekly basis. Not knowing which puppy was going to be theirs
I am sure was tough, but all along, they have said "it doesn't matter
which one we get, they are all great puppies and whichever one we end
up with is the puppy we are supposed to get"! I look forward to
seeing their puppy often and watching him grow.
1st Choice Female:
Light Purple (now Red Plaid
collar) - Haley Jo. Well, I have finally made my decision, Haley
Jo will be staying right here with us and will hopefully someday have
puppies of her own! She is very sweet and just follows me
everywhere. She also looks a lot like her dad, which I think will
compliment our lines that we have. Stay tuned for more shots of
our Haley Jo as she grows!
2nd Choice Female:
Pink (now Burgundy
collar) - Brandy is going to live with the Cater family of St. Mary's,
Ontario. Looks like she is going to have a great home and will be
loved very much! I am sure she will make a hit at the Base where
the Cater's work. Congratulations Kerri and Jason on the perfect
choice for you both!
3rd Choice Female:
Dark Purple (now Flowers
collar) - Tika is going to live with the Milne family of Toronto,
Ontario. Another puppy going to live in the Beaches area.
Well, that will be our 4th puppy to go and live in the Beaches of
Toronto (2nd in this litter)! Congratulations to Chris and Noella
and especially Natasha. This puppy will be a great addition to
their family and although she will not take the place of their last
golden, I am sure she will worm her way into their hearts in no
time!
4th Choice Female:
White (now Happy Face
collar) Molly now has a home too! She will be going to live with
the MacCallum's of Willow Beach, Ontario. She will be loved by
her new mom and dad and their children and grandchildren! They
are all very excited about getting their new addition since they lost
their last dog to cancer a year ago! Congratulations to the
MacCallum family on their new little girl - and a special little girl
she is!
