March 5, 2006 - Update:
Casey
is starting to look very pregnant, so looks like this litter is a go!
Only about 3 weeks to go! Due date March 24, 2006.
March 15, 2006 - Update:
Casey
with only 1 1/2 weeks to go before she delivers her first litter -
seems wierd to see her so pudgy since she is usually such a fit dog!
March 20, 2006 - Update
Happy Birthday Casey!!!
She is 3 years old today and looking very uncomfortable with only 4 days to go!
March 25, 2006 - Update
The
delivery of Casey and Keegan's puppies was uneventful and right on
schedule! Casey had 8 wonderful puppies in 4 hours! She is following
her mom in her deliveries and had 6 males and 2 females - Alex's first
3 litters were all 6 males and the rest females! Casey started getting
anxious and started digging at her bed last night around suppertime, so
I was bracing myself for an all nighter - but to my surprise, she
finally started birthing puppies at about 9:00am this morning! Her
last puppy was born at almost 1:00pm so things went along quite
smoothly! She is doing great as a first time mom and all the puppies
are very fat, little, healthy puppies weighing in at 15.5 oz - 1lb 4
oz. Way to go Casey!
